What we build

A small, senior-led practice. You get a builder who has shipped production systems — not a hand-off to a junior team.

Web & Application Development

Full-stack web apps and internal tools, delivered faster because AI supercharges how the work gets built.

  • Web apps & internal tools (Python, Flask, modern JS/TypeScript)
  • AI-augmented development — more delivered, sooner
  • Production-grade APIs, auth, and clean architecture

Data Engineering & Analytics

Turn scattered, messy data into insights, reports, and decisions your team can act on.

  • Pipelines, cleaning & modeling (SQL, Python, R, SAS)
  • Reporting, metrics, and decision-ready dashboards
  • Machine learning where it earns its keep

Automation & Internal Tools

Take the repetitive, error-prone busywork off your team's plate so they can focus on the work that needs a human.

  • Workflow automation & system integrations
  • Internal tools that speed up the daily grind
  • Built to augment your team — never to replace it

Quality, Architecture & Consulting

A QA-automation veteran's eye on your systems — pragmatic direction from someone who ships and tests.

  • Automated testing & QA frameworks (PyTest, Selenium)
  • System design & data-modeling reviews
  • Adopting AI tooling to make your team more productive

// approach

What “AI-native” actually means here

Not AI features sprinkled on top — AI as part of the toolchain, from design through delivery, so you get more, sooner, without sacrificing the fundamentals.

01

AI-native, human-led

AI tools are woven through how we design, build, and ship — enabling, enhancing, and accelerating the work. A person still owns every decision.

02

Data is the foundation

Every solution starts with the data: where it lives, how it flows, and how it becomes something you can decide from.

03

Tested and built to last

A QA-automation background means the work is tested, not just demoed — clean architecture and code written to be maintained.

04

Direct and grounded

You work with the builder. No layers of account managers — just clear communication and work that ships.

// philosophy

AI should make people better at their jobs — not replace them.

Being AI-native means using AI to enhance, augment, and supercharge how software gets built — and we build for your team with the same conviction. Good automation clears away the drudgery and amplifies what your people do best, making them the most capable and productive they've ever been. Empowerment, not replacement.

// about

A builder in the mountains

Falkenstine Technologies is the practice of Evan Falkenstine— an AI-native full-stack developer with more than fifteen years spent turning messy data into insights, reports, and decisions teams can act on. The work spans analytics, QA automation, and full-stack development, and it's produced everything from operational software to four peer-reviewed research publications.

That background is the point: a QA-automation veteran builds differently. You get the speed of AI-native delivery paired with the discipline of someone who tests what he ships — clean architecture, careful exception handling, and code built to run long after the demo is over. Grounded in the West Virginia mountains, focused on practical business outcomes.
